"Shared Relationship" Prayer

John, the apostle, called himself “the disciple Jesus loved” because he marveled that he was granted a relationship with God’s Son.  But his joy didn’t stop there.  Note how his joy wasn’t complete until he entered deep relationship with others who had the same relationship with Christ.

“that which we have seen and heard (i.e. Jesus) we proclaim also to you,

so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is

with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. And we are writing these

things so that our joy may be complete.” (1 John 1:3-4)

In May and June Oneida joins to pray that, like John, we would more fully enjoy shared relationships with Christ.  Our joy in Christ is incomplete until we experience a three-way relationship with Christ and his people. So we pray that people inside and outside the church will experience the transforming love of Jesus by developing deeper relationships with his people.

We are asking each person at Oneida to commit to the following...
